I'm Paid Lower for Part Time?
 
Part time vs. Full Time
 
Many times the work of part time employees is undervalued and underpaid. Not only do they not give you the benefits that come with full time employment, but they may give you less per hour. Should this be the case?
 
I say no. If you are doing the same work at the same skill level, you should get the same pay. This assumes that the full time employees are actually getting paid for all the hours they work. Many times, companies expect much more than the forty hours per week that used to be the norm.
 
You could ask for the reason for the pay discrepancy, and as with any raise, justify it with data showing how you earn the money.
